امام علی (علیه السلام): با مردم به گونه اى بیامیزید، که اگر بمیرید، بر شما بگریند و اگر بمانید به دیدارتان مشتاق باشند
Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib (PBUH) said the following: Deal with people in such a manner that if you die they
should weep for you, and if you live they should long for you.
امام علی (علیه السلام): وقتى که دنیا به قومى روى آورد، خوبیهاى دیگران را به آنها عاریت دهد و چون پشت کند، خوبیهایشان را از ایشان بستاند
Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib (PBUH) said the following: When this world advances towards anyone (with its riches), it attributes to him the good of others, and when it turns away from him, it deprives him of his own good.
امام علی (علیه السلام): از این انسان در شگفت شوید، به قطعه اى چربی مى بیند و به پاره گوشتى سخن مى گوید و به تکه استخوانى مى شنود و از شکافى نفس مى کشد
Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib (PBUH) said the following: Howwonderful is man: He sees with fat, talks with a piece of flesh, hears with a bone and breathes through a hole!
امام علی (علیه السلام):صدقه دارویى شفا‌بخش است و اعمال بندگان در این جهان، در آن جهان مقابل چشم آنهاست
Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib (PBUH) said the following: Charity is an effective cure and the actions of people in their present life will be before their eyes in the next.
امام علی (علیه السلام): سینه عاقل صندوقچه راز اوست و خوشرویى دام دوستى است و بردبارى، گور عیوب است. نیز روایت شده که آن حضرت در بیان این معنى فرموده است : آشتى‌جویى، سرپوش عیبهاست هر که از خود خشنود بود، خشم گیرندگانش بسیارند .
Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib (PBUH) said the following: The bosom of the wise is the safe of his secrets cheerfulness is the bond of friendship effective forbearance is the grave of shortcomings. It is narrated that Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib (PBUH) said the following in order to explain this meaning: Mutual reconciliation is the covering for shortcomings and whoever admires himself attracts many opponents against him.
امام علی (علیه السلام):دانش، میراثى گرانمایه است و آداب، زیورهایى نو به نو و اندیشه، آیینه اى شفاف است.
Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib (PBUH) said the following: Knowledge is a venerable estate good manners are new outfits and thinking is a clear mirror.
امام علی (علیه السلام): ناتوانى، آفت است و شکیبایى، دلیرى است و زهد، توانگرى است و پارسایى، چونان سپر است. بهترین همنشین، خشنودى از خواست خداوند است
Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib (PBUH) said the following: Incapability is a catastrophe endurance is bravery abstinence is a wealth self-restraint is a shield (against sinning) and the best company is submission (to Allah’s will).
امام علی (علیه السلام): بخل، ننگ است و ترس، نقص است و تنگدستى، زبان زیرک را از بیان حجتش لال می‌کند و بینوا در شهر خود غریب است
Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib (PBUH) said the following: Miserliness is a shame cowardice is a defect poverty disables an intelligent man from arguing his case and a destitute person is a stranger in his own hometown.
امام علی (علیه السلام): آنکه طمع را شعار خود سازد خود را خوار ساخته است و هر که پریشان حالى خویش با دیگران در میان نهد تن به ذلت داده است و کسى که زبانش بر او فرمان راند بى ارج شود.
Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib (PBUH) said the following: Whoever adopts greed as a habit devalues himself whoever discloses his hardship agrees to be humiliated and whoever allows his tongue to overpower his soul debases the soul.
على (ع) فرمود: به هنگام بروز فتنه چون اشتر دو ساله باش که نه پشتى استوار دارد که بر آن سوار توان شد و نه پستانى شیرده، که از آن شیر توان دوشید.
Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib (PBUH) said the following: During civil disturbance be like an adolescent camel who has neither a back strong enough for riding nor udders for milking.
رسول‌خدا (صلّی الله علیه وآله):
خداوند با خشم فاطمه به خشم می‌آید و با خشنودی او خشنود می‌شود
Surely, God will be angered by Fatimah’s displeasure and will be pleased by her pleasure.
امام صادق (علیه السلام):
تا وقتی که مؤمن در پی یاری برادر خویش باشد، خداوند یاور اوست
God will help a believer so long as he seeks to help his brethren.
امام رضا (علیه السلام):
به (تقدیر) خداوند خوش‌بین باش، زیرا هرکه به خداوند خوش‌بین باشد، خداوند طبق گمانش رفتار خواهد کرد
Have a good opinion of God, for whoever has a good opinion of God He will treat him in the same way.
رسول خدا (صلّی الله علیه وآله):
محبوبترین کارها پیش خداوند پایدارترین آنهاست، اگر چه اندک باشد
To God, the best act is the one which is more lasting, however scanty that might be.
امام صادق (علیه السلام):
سه چیز است که مردم به آنها نیاز دارند: امنیت، عدالت و رفاه
People are in need of three things: security, justice, and welfare.
امام هادى (علیه السلام):
ملاک مردم در دنیا اموال آنها و در آخرت اعمال آنهاست
People are respected in this world for possessing wealth and in the Hereafter for possessing righteous deeds.
رسول خدا (صلی الله علیه و آله):
وقتی مرگ جوینده دانش فرا رسد و او در این حال باشد شهید مرده است
If a seeker of knowledge embraces death while he is on learning position, he is regarded as a martyr.
امام جواد (علیه السلام):
مؤمن نیازمند سه ویژگی است: توفیقی الهی، واعظی درونی و پذیرش نصیحتِ کسی که او را نصیحت می‌کند
A Muslim believer needs to have these three virtues: success granted by Allah, an internal admonisher, and the spirit of listening to one who advises him.
امام صادق (ع)::
دنیا دوستی منشأ هرگناه است
The love of this [material] world is the origin of all vices.
امام سجّاد (علیه السلام):.
رحمت خدا بر عباس باد! ایثار کرد، بسیار نیکو جنگید و جان خویش را فدای برادرش کرد.
May God bless ‘Abbās’s soul! He devoted himself, fought beautifully, and sacrified himself for his brother.
امام علی (علیه السلام): ناتوانترین مردم، کسى است که در یافتن دوست ناتوان باشد و ناتوانتر از او، کسى است که دوستان خود را از دست بدهد.
Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib (PBUH) said the following: The most helpless of all men is whoever cannot find a few brothers during his life but still more helpless is whoever finds such a brother but loses him
امام علی (علیه السلام):چون بر دشمن ظفر یافتى، عفو و گذشت را شکرانه قرار بده برای پیروزی بر او.
Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib (PBUH) said the following: When you gain power over your adversary, pardon him as your way of expressing thanks [to Allah] for being able to overpower him
